Bio Couture “The Fall of Fashion”
Designed and created by myself and Anna Campbell for the Southgate Eco-Design Challenge in 2014. The challenge was to use recycled materials however we believed that the idea of recycling plastics in fashion is still not addressing the issue of plastic usage. There are many natural fibres that can be used in place of plastics. This dress serves as a statement on the materials we rely too heavily on and the alternatives we already have like cotton, silk, hemp, bamboo, and linen.

Composed of black tape on a wall and captured at a slow shutter speed to show the logo in stark relief with the blurred bodies present it in-situ. Designed in collaboration with Jessica Hong at the University of Alberta.

OFF THE WALL
Composed of black tape on a gallery wall and captured at a slow shutter speed to show the logo in stark relief with the blurred bodies presenting the image in-situ rather than simply digitally rendering it. This alludes to the nature of the event being part auction, part gallery. This event is the primary fundraising tool for the Bachelor of Design graduating class. I was Chair of the Graduation Committee and instrumental in all elements of planning and execution.
