Moleskine + KISD

A theoretical exploration into new service expansions for Milan based brand Moleskine that would enhance their B2B relationships and diversify their portfolio.


The M Project was a long term project born out of a co-operation between Moleskine and the Koeln International School of Design. Under the supervision of Professor Birgit Mager and Moleskines Fabio D’Liberto a group of eight students were briefed with the task of developing new service innovations for the company.

By means of our own research tools and experiments we were able to better understand the brand, the outside perception, the value proposition, the customer experience, the product portfolio, the online community, and the digital touchpoints. We also did our own investigations into how people use Moleskine but also other products for the same purposes. Our research was designed to obtain both quantitative and qualitative results on unbiased and personal levels.
